Katrien Crauwels

Katrien specializes in employment law and labor relations, whether for employees, civil servants, or self-employed individuals. She has extensive experience in collective labor law, individual employment relationships, and issues and disputes concerning social security. In addition, she regularly advises administrative authorities and civil servants on administrative status and disciplinary matters. Finally, Katrien has a particular interest in health law.

Katrien earned her law degree from the University of Antwerp in 1992. She subsequently successfully completed a series of additional programs (including a master’s degree in Business Law, a postgraduate program in HR Management, “Social Mediation: Labor Disputes in Organizations,” and a postgraduate program in Health Law at the University of Antwerp).

After completing her studies, Katrien began her career at the Antwerp Bar Association. She plays an active role in the Bar Association. She served as a board member, vice chair, and chair of the Conference at the Antwerp Bar Association. She has been elected several times as a member of the Bar Association’s Council and as a delegate to the Order of Flemish Bar Associations (OVB). From September 2023 to August 2025, she served as president of the Antwerp Bar Association. She currently serves as vice president and a member of the Executive Committee.
